On this sparkling summer’s day, the K3 students of KSS Pre-Prep reached the first major milestone on their life’s journey. Not only did they say goodbye to Pre-Prep in splendid fashion today, they also set sail towards future dreams. Though time is always marching on, unforgettable moments like this are worth dwelling on and enjoying to the fullest.

Young dreamers of KSS, sing your song from the mountain tops! Go forth into the world, the universe is yours to take! As you graduate from Pre-Prep, you are like seeds scattering in the wind, each off to explore your own wonderful future to your heart’s content.

Now is your time to shine, so spread your wings and fly

As the curtains slowly opened on the graduation performance, a video showing some of the most-treasured moments from the past few years played on screen. Their voices full of enthusiasm, our pupils told us of their love for King’s and their friends, and of how much they would soon miss Pre-Prep. Their pure feelings, so joyfully expressed, pulled on the heartstrings of all who were in attendance.

In the spotlight, displays of individuality and talent

Graduation is never an end, rather, it is the beginning of something new. For this year’s graduation performance, we left the stage completely to the children, so that they could be the protagonists in their own story. We hope that in years to come, whenever they think back to this day, they will remember a stage full of hopes and dreams. We also hope that these memories will be like gifts of time, to remind them of their carefree days at KSS Pre-Prep.

K32 decided to split up into small groups for a series of exciting performances, beginning with their rendition of “What Makes You Beautiful”. Amongst the lights and shadows of the stage, the children used their passion to vividly interpret the sense of limitless potential that the song inspired in them.

Six pink barbies followed them onto the stage to make their “Barbie Girl” dream into a sweet and dazzling reality. They were so cute!

Next came the rhythmic melody of “The Gentleman”, with the boys energetically moving their limbs to treat their audience to a spectacular dance performance. Dressed to impress, the little gentlemen gave us a glimpse of what they will look like when they are all grown up.

Following on from K32’s amazing performances, the pupils of K31 took their personalities and confidence onto the stage, winning rounds of applause and cheers with their rendition of “You’re Welcome”.

“This Is Me” saw the children show us their courage and strength by marching up onto the stage and loudly proclaiming their names.

Finally, all of the students of K3 joined together for a group performance. Their young voices combined to form a gentle but forceful melody, displaying their unity and friendship, and their longing for the future. Brave little ones, the time has come to spread your wings and fly! 

Receive your graduation certificate, and make a promise for the future

Time spent at KSS Pre-Prep is like a rainbow painted on a scroll, recording the earliest experiences and discoveries of a child’s life. It is like a fairy tale without page numbers, every page filled instead with adventures and surprises. It is notes of music being sounded, together playing the purest tune of life.

Now that the day on which to say goodbye to King’s Pre-Prep has come, the children took to the stage one-by-one to receive the very first graduation certificate of their lives from the Principal of KSS and the Co-Heads of Pre-Prep.

Dearest children, you are all set for the next step of your journey, and now is the time to take it.

May you sparkle like the stars in the night sky, fearing neither setbacks nor challenges, and illuminate the road ahead with the light of your wisdom.

May you be profound like the depths of a great ocean, meeting storms and waves head on, while maintaining your inner calm and purpose.

May you be free like the wind, gusting across every corner of this world, exploring that which is yet unknown and embracing the change that shapes you!
